January, 2024. Destination: Lanzarote, Spain.
This is a place everyone should visit in order to realize how beautiful nature is and how small people are. Here you can get down to earth in case you were flying before.
First off, rent a car and take your time to visit any corner of that magnificent island.
Hotels
Well, the choice of hotels is big and I suppose it’s rather a subjective decision where you want to go and how you want to spend your vacation.
For my part, I decided for Costa Teguise and not for Playa Blanca, Arrecife, or any other nice “smaller” spots. And I was pretty happy with that choice, mainly because of the less people being there and still having everything you need.
Sightseeing
I’ve bought a touristic guide and try to “complete” it in one week, despite of Timanfaya National Park I could manage visiting most beatiful places.
Some of my highlights:
- Mirador del Río (W.O.W.)
- César Manrique Foundation, 35507 Tahice
- Casa Museo de César Manrique, 35520 Haría
- La Geria (for wine lovers)
- Arrieta (not that much to see actually)
- Costa Teguise (for relaxed tourism)
- Playa Blanca (for mass tourism)
- Arrecife (the big city style in small)
